VISA REPLACEMENT FOR 485 VISA HOLDERS

Sky News understands a cohort of visa-holders whose visas have expired will be able to reapply for them.

Government sources have confirmed up to 31,000 people have had their 485 visas expire or begin to expire, but they will be able to replace them. This has not yet been finalised with formal procedure, however is likely to proceed ahead as there were plenty affected during COVID-19 who were unable to return to Australia for further progression of their career pathway.
